32" wingspan, 35-1/2" long, 272 sq. in. wing area, ready to fly weight is 4.8 oz. Nexus is an extremely light competition 3-D model constructed of Depron foam. Thin carbon fiber rods are used to cross-brace critical areas creating a rigid yet light structure. Air brakes are placed on the ailerons and rudder to reduce speed for indoor precision 3-D maneuvers. These air brakes allow the plane to fly at a constant speed throughout maneuvers. Whether the plane is climbing or diving, the speed can remain the same. Using the recommended motor, Nexus is fully 3-D capable and able to do loops, rolls, harriers, waterfalls, flat spins, and just about any maneuver a skilled pilot can perform. Building is straightforward but requires extra time in order to keep the weight low. Controls are ailerons, elevator, rudder and throttle, rudder and elevator. Pull-pull controls are used for precise inputs. Digital micro servos are recommended as well as a micro receiver. Recommended for advanced pilots. Kit includes all necessary small parts, wheels, carbon fiber rods and a complete illustrated instruction manual with step-by-step color photos.
