73"
wingspan, 53-1/2" long, 848 sq. in. wing area, 96 oz. flying
weight, less than 16 oz. per sq. ft. wing loading. This is an all
balsa and hardwood kit that takes about 40 hours to build and cover
and install flight equipment. Hundreds of modelers have had their
first successful flying experience with a Telemaster, and many beginners
have successfully flown Telemaster 40 without assistance. The electric
power system that we recommend will fly the airplane for over 10 minutes,
with better performance -- quicker takeoffs, steeper climbs -- than
a glow engine. The kit can be built as an electric powered airplane
or as a .40 powered glow plane. For 4 or 5 channels: Rudder, Elevator,
Ailerons (2 servos), Throttle. The kit also includes Flaps (1 servo).
The Telemaster 40 is very easy to land and this makes it an excellent
airplane for a beginner. If you are a beginner, build it fairly well,
and do some imaginary flights before the actual first flight, you
will probably have no problems soloing Telemaster 40 on your first
RC flight. You can also fly Telemaster 40 with a glow engine.
